IRS Forms and Web UI Dashboards Namibia

Overview

This document ensures the correct forms and dashboards are built into Reveal for each country/project - in this case Botswana. It includes the data dictionary, web UI dashboard indicator definitions, and web UI dashboard mockups as they are all very closely interlinked and dependent on each other.

Progress Tracking

The status includes 'in progress' when still scoping, 'complete' when reviewed by CHAI and outcome is positive, and 'signed off' when Ona has reviewed and is happy

Data Dictionary

This section is to ensure the correct and most up to date IRS form is used within Reveal. See the link to the 'Reveal Data Dictionary (All Events)' which is the master excel doc for all Reveal forms managed by Craig on Google drive. The below will track when when the last updates were made, by whom and any associated notes, any reviews and follow up notes. UPDATE: IRS Forms have been moved into IRS Reveal Data Dictionary

Dependencies

  1. The availability of the 'mop-up' apk feature will determine if form logic is required or not to deal with how additional rooms sprayed during a mop up is recorded. If available, then likely additional questions asked during mop-up will be 'How many rooms were sprayed on THIS VISIT' and then confirm if total rooms sprayed is correct. If not, then need to apply old form logic.
  2. The 'Multi-structure HH' feature. This will likely require additional form questions if working. If not, it may be possible just to determine if a structures is the head of household structure or not in the form and associated the closest structures to that hh for data analysis purposes.

The cleanest way to do it from a planning and mobile device POV is to have 2 plans, however, this will complicate reporting as coverage indicators will need to be generated from 2 plans rather than one.

Dashboard Definitions

This section links the data dictionary to the dashboards by defining how the indicators on the dashboards are calculated, referencing the specific data dictionary 'Name' fields in the calculation.

See the link to the 'Reveal Web UI & Reporting Data Dictionary' hosted and managed by Craig, to view the latest IRS Namibia sheet that defines the dashboard definitions.

NOTE: 'Structure' in the Namibia context means rooms in the household regardless of how many buildings there are within the household.

Dashboard Mockups

The section provides the dashboard layout and user flow through each org unit level. See link to the excel version of these dashboards.

Data aggregation and dashboard calculations: Craig Appl and Matt Berg We need to build the same structure selection methods in to our Reveal tables as we did in mSpray. Akros and Dickson refined over several years, the set of rules that determines how a structure is counted for IRS dashboards. These rules look at
1) duplicate status -  which duplicate submission should be considered based on the spray status
2) location - how to assign structures to locations for reporting in the dashboard. This is more complex than the selection of an operational area by the end user and instead ties the geolocation of structures to operational areas as the primary method. Structures falling outside of operational area boundaries, as per the tables below, fall into 'Outside of Boundary' category.
Dickson wrote up the digestion of structure mSpray data here, though I'm not sure it fully captures these rules and if there is other code elsewhere. Can we please make sure these rules translate to Reveal?
